MAKAC | Scor:es EP (2009)

It's fun to hear sounds from the strange world of Franz Van Makac (sampling, arrangements, loose controls) and Vincent B. (live drums and rythmic support). But, to be honest, I don't have a clue how to describe it. Experimental-Minimal Dub-Electronica-Weirdo-Stuff? French Cheese?

Maybe the detailed tracklist implies an answer. Let's have a look:

1. The Garden
is based upon Lewis Carrol's Alice in Wonderland with tunes from various artists. And the soundtracks of the Disney's film version.

2. I Scare Easy
borrows Lalo Schiffrin's tunes he made for the Dirty Harry's picture soundtracks.

3. Nobody
borrows Charles Manson's interviews he gave to the US TV during the 70's.

4. Obsolete
is based upon The Obsolete Man, an 1961's episode of The Twilight Zone.

5. Boobed and Loaded
is based on Russ Meyer's Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! and the intro words are from Super Vixens (Russ Meyer, too).

6. Shaking Bones
is based upon nothing special except Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water.

Hmm .... Anyway:
